Dear students; This book has been written in order to increase the awareness of you, our valuable teacher candidates, who will be the architects of the next generation, about the teaching profession and to introduce you to the wide range of study areas related to educational sciences. It is vitally important that teacher candidates are well educated, since teaching has a key role in achieving the goals of educational activities. This book has been evaluated from a historical, psychological, economic, sociological, philosophical, political and legal perspective which are the basic concepts of educational sciences. After general information, "teaching profession" was discussed as a profession and the Turkish education system was evaluated in the context of management. Finally, by adding current issues in the field of educational sciences, it is aimed to gain a universal perspective to the teaching profession. With the questions added at the end of each chapter, it was aimed to see the learning level and to understand the subjects more deeply with the reading passages added to some sections.
